This post offers 19 original prayers for Israel<\/a>, based on the themes and structure of the 19-part Amidah prayer. The prayers were compiled by\u00a0T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights<\/a>, an organization that calls on the\u00a0power of the Jewish community to protect and advance human rights “in North America, Israel, and the occupied Palestinian territories.” The organization invited members to contribute blessings, which were then recited aloud at the 2016 Yom Ha’atzmaut ceremony. Most of the prayers are for peace and justice for Israel and the Palestinian people. This prayer was\u00a0shared on\u00a0Ritualwell<\/a>, a project of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College that provides a platform for creating new Jewish practices and observances.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n19-blessings-for-Israel<\/a>\n
