dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Parshsat Nitzavim:<br \/>\nIn the Parasha we are introduced to the essence of the covenant between G-d and the Jewish people, which comes down to two main ideas:<br \/>\nThe first is that this unique covenant is valid not only to the Jewish people as a collective whole, but to every tribe, family and individual as well. There is a reason why it is mentioned- Duplicate same behaviors at different situations can be really challenging sometimes. We can be polite and charming while we are in public, but forget all of that with our family and friend, and it could defiantly be the opposite of course..<br \/>\nIt can be quit demanding to always live our lives in the light of moral values, and to shape them into a way of life. Demanding, but not impossible- and that\u2019s the second idea we learn about on this Parasha: All of the Mitzvot we are command to keep, and the life we are expected to lead are not necessarily as challenging as one might think. In fact it is totally up to us to run our lives based on moral and ethical values, as G-d told the Israelites': &quot;For this commandment which I command you this day, is not concealed from you, nor is it far away. It is not in heaven that you should say- who will go up to heaven for us and fetch it for us, to tell [it] to us, so that we can fulfill it? Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say- who will cross to the other side of the sea for us and fetch it for us, to tell [it] to us, so that we can fulfill it? Rather,[this] thing is very close to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can fulfill it&quot;. (Deuteronomy Chapter 30, 11-14).<br \/>\nThe &quot;new age&quot; era which we live in today, enable us to practice different aspects of spiritual, moral and ethical values, so one can live his life in the light of Buddhism and based on Buddhist values such as competition and inner introspection and all that without becoming an ascetic monk. That way exactly, we can live our lives in the light of Judaism based on its core values and its moral, social and economical views, and do all that without defining ourselves as religious or keeping Shabbat or Kashrut.<br \/>\nWe can all allow values (such as &quot;thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself &quot;, and &quot;thou shalt not abuse the foreigner the widow and the orphan&quot;, alongside with &quot;respect you father and mother&quot; and &quot;be happy and make others happy&quot;) to act as a beacon which guide us and direct us through our journey.
